Salem, Oregon - Your New Home for Adventure

Corban’s campus is nestled on a 205-acre forested campus overlooking Oregon’s capital city of Salem. Corban is only an hour from the Cascade Mountains and the Oregon coast, making it the perfect location for enjoying hiking, camping, kayaking, snowboarding, and more.

There’s plenty to do right in Salem, too:

  • Coffee shops
  • Movie theaters
  • Food trucks
  • Local parks
  • Saturday Market
What I love about Salem is how green it is, you know, there's so many trees. Also, Salem is Oregon's capital. So we have our State Capitol, which is kind of by downtown. By far, my favorite thing to do in Salem is going to this coffee shop. It's kind of a hipster, new coffee shop and they have amazing coffee and they're open late, which is awesome. So it's, it's definitely a hotspot for college students. There's always people there who want to talk and it's just a really neat place to go to.

There's a lot of outdoorsy things to do in Salem. There's a lot of state parks to experience, we have Silver Falls State Park, beautiful, just a ton of waterfalls and hiking trails. There's parks in downtown Salem. And there's also two other colleges in Salem, so we're definitely a college town. There's a lot of young people here and a lot of new friendships that can be made.

Within an hour of Corban, we have Portland you know. And Portland is a pretty big city. The Portland Timbers are there -- I love going to their games. And we're also an hour away from the beach too, which is amazing. We're about an hour and a half away from Mount Hood, the biggest mountain in Oregon, about an hour away from Eugene. Where we're at is just a perfect spot because if you ever you know want to get out and see things that are around Oregon you can do so!
