Any student wanting Tutoring Services can get tutoring, we have different tutors for different subjects. And what's really nice is it's other students who have been through the class. So they kind of already know how things work. Especially doing like research projects, they know what books to get in the library, what kind of information to look for, they're just that person that helps give you a format and just helps teach you how to do things.
If you're a student that is looking for an opportunity to really begin to work with Career Services, where you're able to meet with a Career Services Advisor, and really get some help and advice on what it is that you could do to further your career.
At college, you learn so much material, but the internship is actually the place that you can put it into practice. And for me, it was amazing because I'm studying Psychology, and I worked primarily with homelessness. And so I had these people who were struggling with certain issues, and I knew them personally. And so the fact that I can now think of them during class, made it everything come to life. Because it wasn't just about me, it was about these people that I might work with in the future.
And employers are actually seeking out Corban University students to fulfill internships and to fill careers. This tool Handshake is a great resource for our students where they can go on and search the different internship opportunities that are available. We have many different ways in which we train our students and help our students to network.
Our faculty and staff, they do a phenomenal job of getting our students networked with the community and with specific careers. When a student comes to me I'm able to help them connect immediately. We can discuss what their goals, what their dreams are, and help them kind of build their own personal roadmap of what their experience will be like here at Corban.
