There's so many different ways to make a difference in the world for Jesus Christ. And I don't quite know where I'm gonna fit yet into that. My name is Elana Loveoy. I am a senior, and I am a business sports management major. I would love to do event planning, but I'm holding it with an open hand, and I know that He is going to prepare the way and I'm so excited to see what God will do next, and Corban has been the environment in which that has grown.
My name is Eric Wood. My major is political science, and I am a sophomore. Particularly with the Leadership and Political Engagement Program, there's such an emphasis on practicality. So I want to go into the political world and try to honor God that way. And so many times when you study political science, it just becomes hoity toity and fluffy and not really hardcore. I can read political theory books, but I can't necessarily go into the world and engage with it the way that that Corban lets me.
So my name is Sam Wheeler, I'm a junior and I'm a health science major with a music minor. I wasn't much of an active Christian until later high school, early college. That's when I became really challenged. And that's my new goal is to kind of help those types of students that maybe are growing up Christian but aren't acting on it all the time, what I would call like a cold Christian. I want them to be on fire for Jesus like I am now.
So my name is Corinne Tank. I'm a recent graduate of the class of 2017. So as a graduate, I'm really excited to jump in to my career right after graduation, and I'll be teaching the spa as well as coaching soccer. And I think Corbin has really just prepared me for that experience and being able to invest in students lives and really changing just the school I'm in for Christ and what he has done in my life and being able to impact students for that and on the soccer field as well as in the classroom.
Corban has been all about getting outside of my comfort zone. I was a little homeschooler from Idaho, who moved to Salem, Oregon, kind of on my own, and God took that and He exploded it and now I have an internship, which I thought was the scariest thing a while ago, but now I've done more than I ever thought I could. And so I have a spirit of adventure and of seeking the unknown. And I wouldn't trade that for the world.
