Coming to Corban, I met the professor within the first week of school. And by the second week of school, they knew me by name. The best part about teaching at Corban is the chance that I get to build relationships with students. It's what drives me. A lot of these professors will have barbecues at their houses, you know. They'll have picnics around. They'll take their advisee groups out to movie nights and stuff like that. Those students that I've worked with over the years, they become friends. I go to church now and they're in church with me, and they're raising their kids. There's now-- sending their children back. Those are the cool parts about being a faculty member. I think one of us figured out we have 140 something years of professional experience to share in the classroom. Dr. Comstock, who teaches in the pre-med program, she just created a COVID test. She's highly qualified, but yet, she will be the first to be sitting in her office, and talking to a student about going to grad school, and what it's going to take to go to grad school. My marketing professors she hooks us up with like businesses in the area. And basically we work is like student consultants. So we make marketing plans for them. We work on benchmarking projects too, and that often opens up doors for internships. They really want their students to succeed here. They need counsel. They need time to sit and think about where they're going to go in the future. And what better place to do that than at a Christian university, where faculty will talk, and pray, and be on the same page with you. It's just really nice knowing that like, the professors are like here for me.
